THE WRITIN' ON THE WALL

Now we all know Samson was a mighty man
And he should have seen thru' Delilah's plan.
Before it was over she was making Samson crawl,
'Cause he hadn't seen the writin' on the wall.

On the wall, on the wall,
Always look for the writin' on the wall.
Just a little word of warning could save you from a fall
If you'd look for the writin' on the wall

Nero played the fiddle while an empire fell,
He thought he owned the world and had it by the tail.
But when the fire was over you should have heard him squall,
'Cause he hadn't seen the writin' on the wall.

A Dodge city marshall said, get out of town
Or you'll be shot before sundown.
The marshal warned him once but had to beat him to the draw,
'Cause he didn't heed the warning on the wall.
